About the Author:
Fikile Hlatshwayo holds a BCom (Honours) in Statistics (2001) from the University of Cape Town and Master of Science Degree in Development Finance (2006) from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. In 2005, she was a recipient of a Development Bank of South Africa Fellow Award and worked as a Senior Researcher in the field of Development Finance.
She was the editor of Africagrowth Magazine (www.africagrowth.com), which publishes quality articles covering development trends in Africa. Also in 2005, she published a book, Export Growth Opportunities in Africa, which covered profiles and export trends in over 30 African countries. Fikile has worked for various institutions in the private sector at senior level (Allan Gray Ltd), in academia at senior level (Stellenbosch University); in the public sector at senior level (Development Bank of South Africa), and at Deputy Director-General level (KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Treasury).
